Dec 7: That Was Something (United States)
In typical Midwestern United States fashion, That Was Something invokes the pop punk/emo style well loved by high school girls across the country. Think Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco, but with a more down home mentality. Emphasizing their pop stylings and referencing Michael Jackson, Third Eye Blind, and Maroon 5 as their influences, this quintet has been playing together since high school. Some songs are lighter and more pensive, with stronger keyboards, while others are heavier on the drums and guitar, providing something for every type of pop punk lover. Touring emphatically over the past few years, and remaining true to their indie natures, TWS is worth a listen and maybe even a viewing. Songs we recommend you listen to: "She is the West Coast" and "New York City".
