March 10, 2010: Quincy Mumford (United States)
Sometimes, the New Jersey Shore isn't as trashy as MTV makes it out to be. Quincy Mumford and his feel good, beachy, acoustic heartfelt jams attest to this. Young and innocent seeming, nodding to the 1970's with his psychedelic fonted website, Mumford is loyal to his home state, playing multiple shows per month at local venues and for various charities and festivals. One thing's for sure: the kid's got class. Enough on him as a person... his music is cutesy, but not naïve, poppy but not in a sickly, mainstream way. He's got rhythm on the guitar, and his ability to connect with the listener prove that he'll go further than most singer songwriters, and definitely far from simply the Jersey Shore. Think Jack Johnson with more social conscious. Songs we recommend you listen to: "Lifted," "Can't Break Free," and "North." Click here to visit this artist’s website.
